Course Aims
This course looks at recognizing and alerting others to suspected abuse. It is targeted towards staff involved in the delivery of direct care provision to vulnerable adults in residential and domiciliary care settings
The course covers the Commission for Social Care Inspection and Skills for Care requirements. This course meets Standard 5 of Skills for Care: Recognise and respond to abuse and neglect.

This course is run over a period of 3 hours, the times can be suited to your requirements.
Course Content
Define abuse
Name forms and types of abuse
Develop strategies to minimize abuse
Describe how to monitor individuals at risk of abuse
Identify the process for reporting suspected abuse
Complete body maps
Discuss organizational responsibilities
Access current legislation guidance
Policies and procedures both Safeguarding and associated...ie whistle blowing, medication, restraint, disciplinary etc
Course Certification
A certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course. The certificate is issued by NAPPI UK (Non Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) This training is accredited by BILD (British Institute of Learning Disabilities)
Fees
The price for this course is from £235 per group of 8 persons, extra persons wishing to attend the course will be charged at £20 per person. (Maximum of 20 persons per Course)
